Dear Film Professionals, Students and Colleagues,
The 7th IN THE PALACE International Short Film Festival, Balchik, Bulgaria, screams for your films!
The deadline for submission of international films is April 15, 2009.
And for Bulgarian productions – May 15, 2009.
Entries postmarked past those dates will not be considered for selection.
If selected, your film can take part in the following competitions, awarded by an international jury:

COMMERCIAL VIDEO & FILM COMPETITION
MUSIC VIDEO COMPETITION
IN BETWEEN COMPETITION
STUDENT FILM COMPETITION
We accept individual and institutional entries.
The festival is open to professionals and students.
There are six competitive programmes; workshops; seminars; master classes; market.
There is NO ENTRY FEE.
If your film(s) is selected, you will receive free accommodation for the whole festival week for one representative of each film and an option to bring a friend to the festival for a special price.

June 20 – 27: these are the dates for the seventh edition of the In The Palace International Short Film Festival, which takes place traditionally in the palace of the Romanian Queen Marie Alexandra Victoria, granddaughter of the legendary Queen Victoria, in the town of Balchik by the beautiful Bulgarian seaside. The festival programme is going to comprise a 168-hour marathon of films, installations, workshops, seminars, master classes and music. The notable names, which Balchik is going to welcome for the seventh edition of the festival, include Sandy Lieberson, Krzysztof Zanussi, Pierre Bismuth. The festival is aiming to offer a large number of events, which could be visited only there and nowhere else.
The music programme of the In The Palace International Short Film Festival is called 7 Nights of Music and is going to take place at an open stage on the beach.
